Description

THE STEEL CHORDS -

I’M READY/TOO MANY MILES

(AKSENT AK-9, NORWAY) (RELEASED 1966)

Scarce Scandinavian Beat Pop!

Rare as hen’s teeth British Invasion Styled Beat Pop from Norwegian group, ‘The Steel Chords’. Channelling their ‘Inner’ Searchers (these two tracks are off the Liverpudlian’s 5th UK album – ‘Take Me For What I’m Worth’), both tracks are typical Euro-Scandinavian Beat from the mid 60’s. The Steel Chords were one of Norway’s most successful groups during that period, releasing some 5 singles (all covers by Manfred Mann/Kinks etc). Well performed, both songs give the Searchers a run for their money!

Never seen another one of these, nor do they seem to pop up anywhere online etc….

Cover =  VG+ (Fold-out picture sleeve with slight creasing and record imprint. No tears.)

Record = VG/VG+ (No original centre. Slight foxing at the start of/on both sides. No obvious scratches. Low sheen, looks VG/VG+ but plays a solid VG+)

Overall plays well, and is great listen!
