This is Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Original Master Recording version, under licence from MCA Records. If I remember correctly, the original MCA record wasn't a gatefold like this. The inside of the gatefold a review by Michael Phalen plus an introduction by Steve Diener, president of ABC records. Owned since new. The outer cover is has a lot of white spots on it (since new) as opposed to the clear black of the usual sleeve. The sleeve is worn on the edges and the bottom edge has worn through. As well as the paper / plactic inner sleeve, there is a cardboard MFSL folding sleeve around it, plus a list (dated June 1980) of the other MFSL recordings (if you google the company, you can get more information about it) plus an A5 piece of paper about looking after the record and finally a sheet containing lyrics and musicians. Soundwise, it is a bit crackly between tracks and on quieter bits of the tracks. The A5 sheet suggests that "Mis-alignment of cartridge and/or improper tracking force causes most skipping, and also contributes to increased levels of surface noise, and distortion" so this might be the reason (but then again, it could be rubbish.........). Generally, the musical sound is really good with a lot of depth.
