Description
This auction is for a rare 2-lp set, The Stevie Nicks Special, which was first broadcast on the radio in 1981 by "The Source". The records contain many of Stevie's songs and duets, as well as interesting commentary by her about the music. According to the Nicks Fix website, it was the first radio program ever done about her. I couldn't find it for sale anywhere on the internet.

I originally bought the special because it included the song, "Silver Springs". Way back then, the only way you could get the song was if you had the 45 single "Go Your Own Way." "Silver Springs" was on the flip side, and I couldn't find it anywhere. What makes the special so good now is not the great collection of songs, but hearing Stevie talk about them.
My favorite part is a funny story she tells about writing Landslide while in Aspen, Colorado. Also, did you know she wrote Leather & Lace for Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter? I didn't know it until I listened to the special. This is a real treat for any Stevie fan.
The records themselves are not in perfect condition. You can tell they have been played ( by the radio station, my turntable died about ten years ago.) I did listen to it again on a friend's turntable. One record seems better than the other for some reason. You can hear some snap, crackle, pop that goes along with used records. It is more noticeable to me now, since I am so used to hearing perfect music on CDs, but it doesn't take away from speaking parts. I don't mean to sound like they are awful, just reminding you that they are not new. I would rate them VG/VG+.
They come in a plain album cover (no artwork) with paper and plastic wrappers. Two pages of cue sheets are included.
