Soul to Soul risulta essere il terzo album in studio realizzato dalla band blues rock Americana di Stevie Ray Vaughan e Double Trouble, pubblicato il 30 Settembre del 1985 da Epic Records. Le sessioni di registrazione si sono svolte tra Marzo e Maggio del 1985 presso il Dallas Sound Lab di Dallas, in Texas. Vaughan scrisse quattro dei dieci brani di Soul to Soul; due canzoni sono state rilasciate come singoli. L'album è andato al n. 34 nella classifica Billboard 200.

Soul to Soul is the third studio album by American blues rock band Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble released on September 30, 1985 by Epic Records. Recording sessions took place between March and May 1985 at the Dallas Sound Lab in Dallas, Texas. Vaughan wrote four of Soul to Soul's ten tracks; two songs were released as singles. The album went to #34 on the Billboard 200 chart.

 
Vaughan trasse ugualmente da bluesman come Albert King, Otis Rush e Hubert Sumlin e suonatori di rock & roll come Jimi Hendrix e Lonnie Mack, così come dal genere stray jazz del chitarrista Kenny Burrell, sviluppando uno stile unicamente eclettico e infuocato che suonava come nessun altro chitarrista , indipendentemente dal genere. Vaughan ha colmato il divario tra il blues e il rock come nessun altro artista aveva fatto dalla fine degli anni '60. Per circa sette anni, Stevie Ray Vaughan è stato il protagonista del blues americano, eseguendo regolarmente i concerti mentre i suoi album raggiungevano regolarmente le vette delle classifiche. La sua tragica morte nel 1990 ha solo enfatizzato la sua influenza nel blues e nel rock and roll Americano.

Vaughan drew equally from bluesmen like Albert King, Otis Rush and Hubert Sumlin and rock & roll players like Jimi Hendrix and Lonnie Mack, as well as the stray jazz guitarist like Kenny Burrell, developing a uniquely eclectic and fiery style that sounded like no other guitarist, regardless of genre. Vaughan bridged the gap between blues and rock like no other artist had since the late '60s. For about seven years, Stevie Ray Vaughan was the leading light in American blues, consistently selling out concerts while his albums regularly went gold. His tragic death in 1990 only emphasized his influence in blues and American rock & roll.
