Stevie Wonder Innervisions LP UK 1st Press "Gramophone" [Ex/Ex+]

Description

An original 1st press of VISIONS on UK Tamla. Matrix A2/B2. For 1st pressing the labels MUST exhibit 'Gramophone' in the perimeter text. This was discontinued soon after this title was released. Worth going for these copies as they were pressed heavier. The vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover with the left side sealed - which forms a nice solid opening panel. There's also an original EMI inner too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In very nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. There are a couple of slight marks per side - but nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with deviation in a couple of spots. Stevie quite possibly at his creative peak. Plays clean and up at a very appealing standard. All I could detect was a few brief crackles in one isolated spot per side [e.g. Love Is Fair']. And three of four brief 1 second pulses of distortion in 'Golden Lady'. That's the only vaguely unpalatable issue. Overall a cracking little copy.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) Beautiful surfaces with no signs of ageing at all -rarely does this title surface looking this pristine. The openings panel is quite fragile and very prone to damage - but this example is superbly preserved. Hardly and edge wear and sharp openings -  impressive! Text fully legible with slightest wear on spine. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A super specimen.
Inner (Vg+) Light tanning. No splits.
