TheCharities vision is to help bring about a world, where children and youngpeople with learning difficulties and special educational needs, or who havebeen affected by illness, disability or poverty, play their full part and havethe best possible chances and choices to live full lives. A world where theyare valued for what they can do, focussing on their ability rather than their disability. In order to help make this a reality the charity is constantly striving to improve pathways to employment and enhance life opportunities forthese young people and other vulnerable groups within the community, who areoften marginalised from society. The Charities aims are: · to support the education of young people with special educational needs and other disadvantaged groups byproviding additional facilities for education · to prevent and relieve poverty byproviding and identifying training and work experience opportunities for youngpeople · to provide pathways to employment togive unemployed young people a job and a purpose to promote social inclusion through events and opportunities that bring the community together, encourage wider integration and preventing people from becoming socially excluded. Thecharity has evolved over time and now has an excellent track record of running social enterprise projects that provide these valuable opportunities to workand develop independence and life skills. We have established 2 successfull shops, an online eBay shop, a coffee cart, baking and furniture upcycling enterprise.
