A mainstay of the TAS list, this recording is of course incredible. Every instrument has depth, with perfect voicing. Strings sparkle but are never bright. Mids are rich and resonant. The soundstage is massive, and the full ensemble swells are deeply moving. One of the most beautiful records I’ve ever heard.
Visually graded: Strongest VG, marks and scuffs are present but not dominant. Nothing deep or tick worthy. VPI cleaned x 2.

Jacket: Strongest VG to Entry VG+ the title seam has a partial split, top seams have whitening and cracking but no complete splits

Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 In C-Sharp Minor:
Opens strong VG+, the more dynamic pieces before the first movement play solid VG+, quietest transitions track strongest VG to entry VG+
Roumanian Rhapsody: Open solid VG with some light rotational noise for the quiet opening, builds to entry VG+ with solid VG+ peaks. Last 3rd of the track is strong to strongest VG+
Side Two
The Moldau: Opens solid VG with surface noise as the track builds dramatically, the track becomes entry VG+
The Bartered Bride: Solid VG, some solid VG+ peaks, entry/solid VG for the quietest section before the solid VG+ finishing peak with some rotation noise in the final moments
