Description
BPI Certificated gold disc for the Stone Roses album "The Very Best Of The Stone Roses", released 2002 on Silvertone Records, complete with signed letter of authenticity on coloured (ie unforgeable!) headed paper from Ian Brown's management company at the time, Retaliate First Management.
Silvertone Records only commissioned 2 of these BPI certificated Gold Discs, one for Ian Brown himself and one for Retaliate First Management (ie this disc for sale). BPI certificated discs (with the BPI logo) can only be presented to the artists themselves and their management - and differ from the discs presented to media and record label staff which do not carry the BPI logo and certification. This makes this item one of the rarest Stone Roses items of memorobilia made.
If E Bay user timmkcp views this auction - please get in touch by e mail. You bought some items from my old user name mattmatt97 - need to contact you urgently re one of those items (in May/June 2006). Don't panic! It's good news!
This album was a landmark for the Stone Roses and Silvertone - the band finally started getting paid royalties from the famously awful record deal when the band themselves put together this authorised best of - getting rid of all the previous cheap cash in compilations Silvertone Records had released in the past.
As you can see from the picture - this is a genuine BPI item - one of only two ever made - so a very rare and collectable item indeed.
Postage & packing in the UK will be £20 - securely packed and insured up to £1000. Increased insurance can be arranged at additional cost. International shipping rates will obviously cost more.
