SHIPPING – UK gbp3.00 any number of records; Europe gbp4.00 any number of records; ROW surface mail gbp3.50 any number of records; ROW airmail gbp5.50 (first record) + gbp1.00 additional records.

SHIPPING

My standards of packaging are very high and way beyond the rather poor standards of most British record sellers on EBAY.  Being a record collector myself I appreciate how these rather flimsly and vulnerable pieces of plastic are and do my utmost to protect them whilst they are in transit.

Shipping costs are as follows:

UK – GBP3.00 any number of records

Europe – GBP4.00 any number of records

Rest of World (surface) – GBP3.50 any number of records

Rest of World (air) – GBP5.50 first record plus GBP1.00 each additional record

If your total is over gbp30 you will need to pay an additional gbp3.00 (UK special delivery / Europe and Rest of the World International signed for)

Note: There is no surface mail to European destinations!

GRADING

Here Is how I grade records:

MINT - sealed records (also will be stated as sealed)

NEAR MINT - having had little play; perhaps a few light marks but nothing significant and appears very close to being a new record.

EXCELLENT - having some marks which do not affect play, perhaps some writing on the label or sleeve.

VERY GOOD - more significant marks, perhaps with some minor hiss on run-in/out grooves. I will only sell records in this grade if they are of a significant rarity.

I do not grade sleeves seperately, but if the sleeve is in a different condition to the record I will note this. In general auctions will have a photo so condition of the sleeve should also be visible.

Records are graded on Technics 1210 turntables with Stanton Trackmaster II cartridges; please understand that if you have equipment more sensitive than this that I can only grade based upon what my equipment can detect!

OTHER INFORMATION

If items go missing I do everything reasonably possible to pressurize the Post Office either to locate the package or issue a refund; however, for non-insured items it is not always possible to gain a refund though I always get a proof of postage.  My recommendation is you pay the extra for recorded delivery as I can always prove I have sent the item which in the event of non-delivery puts the onus on you to prove non-receipt...

I try to get to the Post Office a few times a week, so rarely is there any delay in your item getting to you.  However, I do have a day job which occasionally calls for me to work away from home, so in those instances there may be an additional few days delay, but nothing significant.  If you do not receive your item within a reasonable time period please contact me as letting these things drag out reduces the chance of getting your item back - suggested times for shipping are:

                UK (under a week)

                Europe (1 week)

Zone 1 (USA, Canada etc) (1 week - air; 3-8 weeks - surface)

Zone 2 (Japan, Australia etc) (1 week - air; 4-12 weeks - surface)

I would also suggest you check with your local mail sorting office before contacting me as they may be holding your item.

I pay for all my won auctions on the day they end and I expect the same.  However, if you wish to hold out for several auctions to end I am happy to wait up to 2 weeks to enable you to consolidate shipping costs.  I leave non-paying bidder alerts after 2-3 weeks (note these do not have any affect on your feedback or record with EBAY but you will get an e-mail alerting you) and a non-paying bidder notice (NPB) after one month (3 of these and you are thrown off EBAY).

If you don’t like the price don’t bid and don’t send me e-mails offering below the minimum bid – the majority of the auctions start at a price below my break even price – that also means if you do win at minimum bid you’ve got the record cheaper than if you took the time to find the shop that had it, searched through all the crap records to find that good one and maybe blagged a discount for buying 100 records!

I ignore the following excuses, all of which I have received in the past!:

My mate/child/mum bid on this auction on my behalf

I found this item cheaper elsewhere

                I lost my job

I lost my limb last week (no joke - the guy had been using the excuse to not pay for auctions for 2 years!)

My car needs repairing and I can't afford this

I don't like you criticising the fools that run the American/British governments whom I blindly admire and follow

If you have not got money or sense at time of bidding then please don't bid!  I also reserve the right to refuse to sell to people without a sense of humour.
