Description
Up for sale is a foundational piece of 90s alternative rock history: an authentic, original 1994 U.S. first pressing of the landmark Stone Temple Pilots album, "Purple," released on Atlantic Records (Catalog # 82607-1). This highly collectible copy is pressed on its iconic translucent purple vinyl wax and comes complete with the original 12" x 12" double-sided printed lyric insert.

VINYL CONDITION: Very Good Plus (VG+)
The translucent purple record retains a beautiful, bright gloss. Under direct light, you can spot a few minor, light purple cosmetic surface scuffs/marks on the wax. These are completely flat, strictly cosmetic surface marks that cannot be felt with a fingertip and do not impact playback quality. No deep scratches.
GATEFOLD JACKET CONDITION: Very Good (VG)
The 12" x 12" outer gatefold jacket is structurally sound with solid seams and a clear spine. It shows clear signs of age and storage. The front cover features a prominent diagonal crease/bend running across the upper section. Additionally, there is visible water/moisture staining (tanning) on the upper left front corner, along with light delamination/peeling on the surface edge. The back cover displays moderate to heavy ring wear and light surface scratching against the red glossy background.
INSERT & INNER SLEEVE CONDITION: Very Good (VG)
- The original 12" x 12" double-sided lyric insert sheet is fully intact with bright printing, crisp text, and typical light handling wear.
- The plain white paper inner sleeve functions perfectly but has a visible brown water/liquid stain along the bottom rounded edge.
