Cover, spine and label credits this album to Meatloaf but it is clearly by Stoney & Meatloaf. This is a rerelease of the original 1971 album with some remixed tracks.

Remixed and mastered at Motown Recording Studios, Hollywood, California.

This 1979 re-release omits 2 songs from the original 1971 Rare Earth Records release:

1.(Id Love To be) As Heavy As Jesus
2. Game Of Love

However, it adds 4 previously unreleased songs:

1. Stone Heart
2. Who Is The Leader Of The People
3. Everything Under The Sun
4. It features a longer, different mix of "Jimmy Bell" from the 1971 release. Stoney and Meatloaf is the only album by Stoney & Meatloaf, a collaboration between Meat Loaf and female vocalist Shaun Murphy, released in 1971 on the Motown subsidiary label Rare Earth. Meat Loaf and Murphy met while performing with the Detroit cast of Hair.
