Description
Recently purchased, from a leftover 1930's dealer's stock, is this
disc featuring some wonderful black vocal harmony by the Rust
College Quartet.
They sing (unaccompanied) "Oh How He Lied" and "Old
MacDonald Had A Farm" on Race Series Viva-Tonal Columbia
14307-D. This has to be the greatest rendition of Old MacDonald
ever!
Both sides were done in Memphis Tennessee on December 10,
1927.
The record is in delightful excellent-plus (E+) condition, and of
course as one would expect for a Viva-Tonal in this condition, it
plays terrific!
It is in the original Viva-Tonal sleeve.
