This auction is for a vintage original 33 rpm 12" LP vinyl record STRANGE DAYS by The Doors. This record is MONO which is much more collectible than stereo. Top left corner of the album cover reads "EKL-4014 Mono." This is not a bootleg or later pressing -- it is the vintage original from the 1960s. No bar code. This record is just one of many vintage 33rpm records that we recently acquired out of cold storage. Sorry -- we are not record dealers and don't know how to grade/rate nor do we know what to look for regarding condition. Here are some general comments: Record lays flat (it is not warped). We do not see scratches. It looks like someone bought it, maybe played it once (if at all). The front and back album covers look in great condition. There are a few scuffs on part (not all) of the center spine but this does not affect the title or other identifiers (record label or number). The record comes in the original paper sleeve; the outer corner of the sleeve has a fold and one corner has some ruffling likely how it was packed by the record company. The record should grade high and play very well. Please see scans below for closeups of both sides. Most of the Strange Days 12" vinyl LP records sold online are the stereo version -- it is very rare to find this in the MONO format. This is a great collectible with solid re-sale value.
Payment and Shipping: Seller will ask USA buyer to please add $3 for economy shipping. We use thickish cardboard to protect the shipment. Due to the awkward size and weight, we could probably send overseas but it would cost about $20 (because of the weight the Post Office will require us to use Global Priority Mail which is a higher rate of shipping). All sales are final. If you live in the DC area, feel free to skip shipping and arrange a pick-up at our northern Virginia location.
