Description

"Strange Fruit" b/w "Fine and Mellow" by Billie Holiday. This is the original recording of the controversial lynching song writeen by Abel Meeropol, which was rejected by all major record labels but accepted by Commodore Records in New York. Recorded April 20, 1939 and issued on Commodore 526. Condition is E. Plays great with minor surface noise but no scratches.
