strike anywhere work jacket; i've never seen another one of these. around 2000/2001 i went to see strike anywhere in nyc on a cold and miserable day. i left my jacket on the train, and i got to the show dripping wet. thomas gave me this coat for the $3 i had in my wallet at the time to "stay warm." i haven't worn it in 6 or 7 years, so hopefully somebody else can warm up with it.
front is a plain charcoal gray colored work jacket. nameplates were removed when i got it. dickies style, utility pocket, made by the textilease company. 65/35 poly/cotton blend, "crafted with pride in the USA." tag says size Medium, Regular, Mens. i put it in the men's category for that reason, but anybody could wear this jacket. quilted lining inside, nice big brass zipper (still functional), and a super high-quality screen on the back of their "to live in discontent" logo. screen is white, and there is absolutely no chipping, discoloration, or marring of the logo/lettering. it's probably one of the best quality screens i've seen, actually. image is taken from their chorus of one record in no idea records back in the diy punk good ol' days. i think this may have been right prior to change is a sound on jade tree. kid dynamite, lifetime, strike anywhere, hot water music, braid, ah yes . . . the pre- latterman pop-punk days for sure.
jacket is in excellent condition; no rips, tears, stains or holes other than two tiny (tiny) pin holes. zipper still works, all buttons intact and functional. pretty right on.
