Newbury Comics has been producing Stunning Colored Vinyl LP’s for a few years now. If you check on past editions you will quickly realize how collectible these editions really are. All prices have been increased significantly every time a title goes out of print & automatically becomes a hot product. This is valid not only on Vinyl LP’s which are my only focus, but to other products as well. My intention is not to advertise this store, but to point out how beautiful and limited those editions are. I will be listing quite a few of these editions in 2020, although only recently I became involved.

What an album! Both Copper Blue and Beaster in this Newbury limited to 500 copies edition.  In Near Mint (NM or M-) condition. I do not grade records as MINT. Shipping only in the USA when it comes to records only.

Copper Blue is the debut studio album by American alternative rock band Sugar. It was voted 1992 Album of the Year by the NME. All of the songs were written by guitarist/vocalist Bob Mould, who also co-produced with Lou Giordano. Musically, the band continues the thick punk guitar of Mould's previous band, Hüsker Dü, while slowing the tempo and emphasizing melody even more.

Beaster is Sugar's 1993 EP. Its songs were recorded at the same time as the band's acclaimed first album, Copper Blue. However, it has a much denser, heavier sound, closer in spirit to Hüsker Dü than that record. "Lyrically it's so unnerving for me to listen to it…" said band leader Bob Mould. "Musically it's harder, it's a little looser. Lyrically, it's a lot wilder than Copper Blue… Copper Blue was such a great pop record that I just saw this as like the evil twin."

The loosely conceptual work is built around religious imagery. "I still don't know what it's all about," said Mould after its release. "The Jesus thing everybody picks up on – those are words that are not used lightly. Just the notion of somebody who can do no wrong who eventually gets hung [sic] for doing no wrong. I think that everyone feels like a martyr sometimes.”

International Shipping

I will only ship to the following countries: European Union, England, Canada and South Korea using USPS First Class for packages up to 4 pounds, or USPS Priority if the weight is higher than 4 pounds. I will always ship in a box with bubble packaging. You will be able through the eBay calculator to estimate your exact shipping cost. Again, in case you buy more than 1 item, please request an invoice because E-bay cannot calculate shipping costs in multiple purchases.

Please make the payment within 3 business days or the 4th day, E-bay will take the responsibility directly to contact you for your non-payment bid. 

Returns are accepted if the item is new, as it was shipped to the buyer and there will be a full refund in case of wrongfully described or damaged during transit. On all other cases, I reserve the right to deny a return or negotiate the terms. I only sell Brand New Factory sealed & Mint items and I will always provide every single flaw I can detect. No returns are accepted in international transactions.
