THE GREAT PROGRESSIVE ROCK BAND "YES" EXPERIENCED THEIR MAJOR COMMERCIAL BREAKTHROUGH IN THE U.S. WITH THE ALBUM FRAGILE AND KEY SINGLE "ROUNDABOUT." TOURING IN SUPPORT OF THIS ALBUM WITH THEIR ROUND, ROTATING STAGE YES WAS PROBABLY THE FIRST MAJOR, INFLUENTIAL ROCK BAND TO DEPLOY THE CLASSICAL DRAMATIC TECHNIQUE OF "THEATER IN THE ROUND" IN THE ROCK MUSIC INDUSTRY.

FROM THEIR LATE 1960'S INCEPTION UNTIL THEIR FIRST "OFFICIAL BREAKUP" IN 1981 QUITE A FEW MUSICIANS WITH WORLD-CLASS TALENT SPENT TIME ON THE YES ROSTER. AMAZINGLY, THE ROSTER FOR THE LAST PRE-BREAKUP ALBUM, DRAMA, WAS PRETTY SIMILAR TO THE FRAGILE LINEUP. CONTINUING THE COINCIDENCES, THE BAND CHOSE TO TOUR DRAMA IN THE ROUND (I KNOW, I WAS THERE, HAVE THE SHIRT).
