Description
This is a superb luxury bathroom suite that was once owned by Dave Hill, the guitarist from the ever popular 70's pop group SLADE!!!!! He is the one pictured at the top, in the album cover picture.
This bathroom suite is currently installed in my parents house in Solihull and is to be replaced in November. They bought this house off Dave Hill back in the late 70's.
From the information we have, he installed this suite from new in about 1974. As a chart-topping rock legend you can be assured that he would have paid for only the best quality.
As you can see, the suite is orange with black 'fleur-de-leys' patterns. It comprises of a huge circular bath which is approximately 5.5 feet in diameter and 16 inches deep. There is also a toilet, bidet and sink. All essential fitments and fixings are included including the gold plated taps for sink, bidet and bath. The sink is oval and is approximately 22 inches by 16.5 inches. The price does not include any other carpets/furniture that are shown in the pictures.
Considering that this suite is 30 years old, it is in great condition for its age, however the excesses of a rock 'n' roll lifestyle have left their feint marks hear and there. The bottom of the bath does have what appears to be some feint scratches on it. In addition to these, some of the plastic coating on the fleur-de-leys pattern on the bottom of the bath has peeled a little. You can see this in the photos. The orange plastic coating on the underside of the toilet seat has chipped a little (again shown in the photos). Finally, one of the sink taps is a little stiff, however this could be easily rectified.
Bid for this successfully and you can get all your family and friends in the bath on 25th December singing 'Merry Christmas Everybody', knowing that the man himself probably sang the same song in there as well!!

By the way...I measured the bath carefully and it will not fit into the local letterbox, so I must insist that if you are the lucky bidder, you collect it from Solihull (from where Dave Hill used to live) and pay in cash on collection. The bathroom suite will be un-installed by the time you wish to collect.
