Superb NORTHERN SOUL 45 The Deans on PANIK No Not Now

Wow!!  This is one of the best soul 45s I've ever come across!  Not to mention the fact that I've NEVER seen another one!  I've never even seen this label before!  It mentions on the bottom of the label that it's a subsidiary of J-R Records.  The Deans have a real solid Detroit-like sound with some of the best lead vocals I've had the pleasure of listening to.  The a-side, "No Not Now" is a real uptempo dance number with a killer melody and a real tight rhythm section.  They sort of blend all of the great elements of early R&B and doo-wop into one hot track.  The vocals on the middle eight are just dynamite!  The flip-side, "Catch That Train" is a somewhat-brief uptempo instrumental. 

I've transferred the audio from the 45 directly to my computer using no digital trickery.  What little surface noise this record has is present in the clips below.  Just right click on each link and select "save target as", "save link as" or something similar, depending on which browser you use.  Save the files to your desktop (or a different folder that you can easily access.  You'll need an mp3 player (such as the free one from www.winamp.com) to listen to these samples.  Please note that these are just clips, NOT the entire songs.  Here are the links to the samples:

Record grades VG+ with some minor markings on the b-side label and superficial surface scuffs.  No loud pops during playback, just some minor surface noise.  Definitely sounds better with a proper mono cartridge (like the one I used to record the samples with) rather than a stereo cartridge, because after all this IS a mono record!

As I have always done, my records will be packaged in professional mailers provided by Bags Unlimited. I use filler pads or bubble wrap as needed to keep the record secure. 45s are light enough to go First Class mail in the US, so that's the preferred method. Although, you are more than welcome to select Priority Mail if you wish.

I'm not here to make money off of inflated shipping and handling charges.  Sure, I charge anywhere from 25 cents to $1 for handling fees, depending on how much specialized material I need to use.  But when I break it down, I lose money on my shipping and handling charges because they're so low (compared to most of those dishonest sellers on Ebay). 

Above all, I'm very concerned with customer satisfaction. If you're courteous with me, I'll be the same with you. Please consider this before leaving negative feedback.
