Description
Here is a great 1965 release on the Mercury Living Presence label (SR3-9017). This is a three-record promo box set of violinist Henryk Szeryng, with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Antal Dorati, performing Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D, Op. 61, Sibelius' Violin Concerto in D-minor, Op. 47, Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 2 in G-minor, Op. 63 and Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D, Op. 35. Includes orignal insert.
This is an early pressing - stampers are RFR-1/RFR-1/RFR-2/RFR-1/RFR-3/RFR-1
Condition - The box shows moderate wear and features radio station markings. The box grades at VG+. The records have some shine, but all records show light wear including light scuffs and marks. The records grade at about VG+ by sight, some sides a little better, some sides a little worse. I listened to two sides and they sounded about as they looked - generally nice with some light background noise and periodic other light pops or ticks. Nothing too distracting on the sides I heard.
Regarding shipping - I ship quickly using new professional grade materials. Regarding grading - I try to grade by Goldmine standards. I do not use the grade Mint on unsealed opened records. The highest grade I give to unsealed records is Near Mint. Grading here is strictly by sight.
