Description
Henryk Szeryng –
FRITZ KREISLER –
Mercury SR-90348 – RFR4/M2 –
RARE!
Here, the fire of Henryk Szeryng is quite apparent, as he takes on the devilishly complex violin works of Fritz Kreisler.
Included selections are CAPRICE VIENNOIS, LIEBESLEID, LIEBESFREUD, RECITATIVE AND SCHERZO, TEMPO DI MINUETTO, MENUET, TAMBOURIN CHINOIS, RONDINO ON A THEME BY BEETHOVEN, and ALLEGRETTO IN THE STYLE OF BOCCHERINI, among others.
A fine prize for any student of violin, here in a jacket without major fault, simply has a small portion of edge on the top seam and a small “bb” hole.
Within, is an RFR4/M2 Mercury platter in near-mint playing condition.
For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.
Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
