I'm Dazed

Demon

translucent 'cosmic' yellow vinyl 7" Cat: MARC 25
Rel: 7 Nov 25
Rock Side 1. I'm Dazed Side 2. Billy Super Duper (take 2)

Unearthed from the archives after 50 years, this newly discovered recording captures T. Rex at a turning point in their story. 'I'm Dazed' is an original 1975 studio cut, tracked between Chateau d'Herouville in France and Munich's Musicland Studios, with Marc Bolan producing and Reinhold Mack at the desk. It's a looser, grittier strain of glam - swaggering guitars and weary vocals circling a rhythm that feels half joy, half exhaustion. On the flip, an alternate studio take of 'Billy Super Duper' shows the band in rawer form, bass and drums upfront, the mood unguarded. Both tracks, mixed by Steven Wilson from the original master tapes, restore Bolan's sound with rare intimacy, a vivid rediscovery from his restless mid-70s chapter.
