I use the record collector grading system of Bad / Poor / Good (G) / Very Good / Excellent / Mint.
Please see below for grading details.
I also use a + or a - for grades that I consider slightly better or worse.
A VG disc on this site will not be is nasty condition like many sellers.
All records are sent out in plastic covers. TYRANNOSAURUS REX.
KING OF THE RUMBLING SPIRES / DO YOU REMEMBER (CULT)
ORIGINAL UK 1969 DEMO 7" SINGLE - RZ 3022 - IN PICTURE COVER.
A very rare find with the picture cover.
The Record / VG condition. This disc I graded as VG due to side A having some vinyl fog / haze on the surface when I graded under halogen bulb. Please see the pictures as I have tried to photo this side a few times. My late husband kept this record in a PVC cover for many years and these PVC covers can caused this issue as many vinyl collectors now know!!!! The haze is not very bad but I will state all in my listings. Side B is in fine with no haze. I would think the record was not played very much. The record has no deep or bad marks! VG is a strict grade, the record is not in bad condition! The disc has G1 / G1 stamping codes as found on EMI 1st pressings. The record would of been graded around EX if not for the haze on side A.
Play Grade / VG+ / The disc plays with some surface crackle under the music and on the intros. The record is still worth playing.
The Labels / VG+ condition. Side A has a small pen mark and a number added. The B side label is clean.
The Cover / G- / Good- condition. The very rare cover has creasing and age wear. For a fragile rare cover it is not in very bad shape as you will see via my pictures. This picture cover is 100% the real deal and not a copy. The bottom of the cover has a 1.5" clean split, the left hand side has a tiny clean split, the right hand side has a 2.5" split. The record is now housed in a new cover to save the original. Graded a strict G- condition, this is far from a perfect example but it is not bad for its age and how rare it is. .................................................................................
I USE THE UK GRADING SYSTEM BELOW.
Mint - as new and in perfect condition.
Excellent - A real nice example with light wear only. An EX disc will play great and the cover will be very nice too.
Very Good - The disc will have light surface wear and some light marks. The record will still play very well but may have some surface sound and a little crackle as this is graded as VG. The cover will have some creasing and storage age wear. The disc and cover will have no very serious faults. A VG disc and cover will also not be perfect!
Good / G condition - The disc will have very visible surface wear and light marks with some deeper marks. The cover will show much age wear and will not be the best example! The record will still play but will have surface sound and ticks etc.
Fair - This will be a tatty example of both disc and cover. The record will play with surface sound and noise. The cover will look tatty from age and storage wear.
Bad / Poor -This will be a badly worn example of both record and cover. The disc may jump or play with much surface sound. I would rarely sell an item like this.
