Tales Of Terror

Original US LP released on CD Presents Ltd Records in 1984.

Tales of Terror were a Sacramento punk rock band that put out a self titled LP in 1984 on the label CD Presents. Tales of Terror played sleazy, sloppy, raucous California punk in the vein of the Stooges. Lead guitar and back up vocals were done by Lyon Wong, aka Emperor F-cksh-t aka Luther Storms, son of Victor Wong. Lyon was beaten to death by the quarterback of Sacramento High School's football team in 1986. That happened in front of the Zebra Club in midtown Sacramento and the high school jock was sentenced to 6 months for manslaughter.

Pat Stratford, aka Rats Ass, was the frontman/singer. Pat was also in the Square Cools and fronted the Whorelords. Jeff Magner, aka Boots aka Dusty Coffin, played bass. Jeff was in the Square Cools, and the Cactus Liquors, reportedly died in early 2004 of a drug overdose. The dealer who sold him the drugs was never put on trial. Trip Bender, aka Trip Mender, was lead guitar and back up vocals. He's in San Francisco based Ding Dang.

The band morphed from the Square Cools into Tales of Terror.

Reviews:
Tim Yohannan reviewed "Tales of Terror" for Maximum Rock and Roll in 1984. He wrote: "Totally drunken, power-chord punk rock, folks. It's straight out of the DEAD BOYS/STOOGES school of intense, f-ck-it-all, snarl and self-destruct. These Sacramento's are good at it too. Recommended."

We offer combined shipping on all LPs / 12" Vinyls: our shipping rates are listed above. HOWEVER shipping packages that weigh more than 2kg is VERY expensive. Therefore we can only offer combined shipping up to a maximum of SEVEN (7) LPs / 12" vinyls. Any extra purchases will be invoiced, packaged and shipped separately.

***Due to the physical logistics of how I can package orders, I will not combine box sets with other items, I will only package them individually***

PAYMENT

I would appreciate payment within seven days of the auction’s end. If you want to bid on more of my auctions ending a week later please inform me. I will wait and issue a combined invoice at the close of the second week’s auctions.

However, I am no longer willing to carry combined transactions beyond two weeks and in these cases would appreciate payment promptly after the close of the second week’s auctions.

I am sorry to have to introduce these measures – I always try to be patient and allow buyers to bid on extra auctions and / or delay payment. Unfortunately some buyers have been stretching out transactions to unacceptable lengths so I feel I have no option but to limit ‘carried over’ transactions to two weeks.
