PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
OFF-THE-CHARTS-RARE More Songs About Buildings And Food promotional set put out by Sire including a RARE original Joe Gastwirt mastered Los Angeles first pressing with transparent artist and title hype sticker that spans the entire width of the cover at the top (exclusive to promotional copies-stock copies had them affixed to the outer shrink wrap), original glossy black & white printed inner sleeve and circular promotional text in the bottom right hand corner on the front cover in customary gold-embossed lettering!!! Auction also includes two things I have never seen in all my 40+ years of collecting. The first is a red 10" X 5" four page Sire promotional pamphlet with LP cover art on the outside and band history and individual band member thoughts about the LP on the inside!!! The second is an oversized 8" X 6" promotional postcard with a glossy dressing room photo of the band on one side and promotional hype about an upcoming Warner Bros. radio show on March 9 featuring the Heads on the rear in the top left hand corner along with a long list of the stations hosting the show underneath!!! This set was included in a collection I purchased in the 1990s from a former Apple Tree Records (R.I.P.) employee in far western Chicago suburb DeKalb, IL that had some jaw-dropping promotional items. The postcard even has the original Apple Tree address label on the rear with the store's Lincoln Avenue location and is postmarked March 5, 1979! Incredibly rare. Don't sleep Heads collectors. You won't see another lot like this. Ever.
