Description
I have owned this box set from new, I have barely played the records, most only once. The box has a few light scuff marks and slight dents in the cardboard as pictured.
To Commemorate the 45th anniversary of the world's most significant record label, Universal Music have been delighted to proclaim summer 2004 as
The Summer Of Motown
A celebration of the most life-affirming music of all time
With such legendary artists as Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, The Temptations & Four Tops, from 1959 onwards, Berry Gordy and his crack team of influential writers and players created a revolutionary sound that blended R &B and pop.
Although known as 'The Sound Of Young America', Motown was to go on to become the sound of the world.
To commemorate this historic event, a select range of strictly limited, 7" vinyl 45rpm singles, replicating the original Motown 45 logo on the label, were released for the 45th anniversary.
