Here Is An Amazing Event !!!
Koto is an East Asian instrument classified under the zither family, similar to the Western harp or cimbalom (Hungarian dulcimer). It shares some characteristics with the harpsichord, predecessor to the pianoforte. However, unlike keyboard instruments that have arrangement of strings involving horizontal motion, koto, requiring vertical motion, did not develop as a polyphonic instrument.
Mechanical aspects of Koto as a stringed instrument are fully explored. In addition, within the heterophonic ensemble practice of Japanese classical arts, a performance technique unique to koto has shown perfected beauty quite different from that of the Western zithers.
Koto has been long held as a instrument representative of pure Japanese aesthetic. At the same time among the traditional Japanse instrument, koto is most capable of expressing elements that are closest to Western music: Tone color can resemble that of Western plucked instruments and pitch can be freely aligned. The left hand can disregard its normal functions of producing tone color and be used for picking out chords. Such devices enable the koto to be used as a polyphonic instrument without too much difficulty.
Turn our attention to this new world of “baroque” sound created by these six performers…

Visually Grading as follow :
M : A near perfect, probably unplayed record.
NM : Record has been handled and played infrequently or very carefully. Only well cared records will grade NM. It will satisfy all but the most demanding collector.
NM- : Very clean, there may be light paper scuffs from sliding in and out of a sleeve, very light surface marks and slight signs of wear, which will not distract significantly from the sound. Cover also has only slight wear, and is still in nice collectible condition.
VG++ : Record surface may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches/hairlines that do not affect the overall listening experience.
VG+ : A used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.
VG : Significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise.
