Description

  • Very close to mint LP of Roberto Gerhard’s "Symphony No 4 (New York)" (Argo ZRG 701, UK pressing), Colin Davis conducting the B.B.C. Symphony Orchestra.
  • Also on the program is Gerhard’s "Violin Concerto", Yfrah Neaman on violin with Colin Davis conducting the B.B.C. Symphony Orchestra.
  • This LP is on the TAS (The Absolute Sound) list of classical audiophile recordings of special merit.
  • The dead wax stampers end with 1G/1G indicating Ted Burkett as mastering engineer. His masterings are considered superior to all other engineers on the London, Decca and Argo labels.
  • The LP looks and plays near mint (I don’t rate opened LPs as mint). I found one very tiny mark on the vinyl and it played through with no notice. The cover is near mint with no splits, tears or cutouts and just some light ring wear on the back.
