Description
The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid. The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's. An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored. These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay. With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await. My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner. I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed. I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find. All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
Atlantic deep groove Black Label MONO vinyl LP 1229 - released 1956
VG+ vinyl has some superficial sleeve markings. May have been played once or twice prior. Test play on NAD C555 turntable revealed overall quality analogue sound with occasional light surface and crackle. Side two also has two pops mid-first track. Still, at 59 years old this stands as a quality pressing. The Burt Goldblatt laminated cover has some shelf and ring wear. The spine corners are dinged and the throat has small upper and lower stubs. The rear panel shows some discoloration consistent with age.
