Okay, Tejano music fans, I thought long and hard before I listed this record on eBay, because it is without a doubt the rarest LP by Little Joe and The Latinaires in my Vinyl Records Collection.  The only reason I have listed it is because I have a mint copy of it.  Up for auction is an all English LP by Little Joe and The Latinaires titled UNBEATABLE!, and it's exactly that...unbeatable!  Even though Little Joe and The Latinaires (and later in his career, Little Joe Y La Familia) are legends in the Tejano Music Industry (Spanish), all of the songs on this "impossible to find" LP are songs with Soul and Funk melodies, and English lyrics.  And I'll tell you how collectilbe this LP is...it's listed on the Texas Soul Recordings website!

This incredible LP was recorded on the TOMI Records label (tlp 1002) in Dallas, Texas.  As you will read in the liner notes on the back of the jacket, it was recorded as a result of the huge success of the first all English LP titled INCREDIBLE that Little Joe and The Latinaires recorded on the TOMI Records label (tlp 1001).  The killer songs on this LP will take you on a stroll down memory lane, and I've got to tell you that Johnny Hernandez is at his very best on this LP...Johnny sings on all 12 songs; either solo or in a duet with Little Joe, or El Charro Negro (Bobby Butler).  Have a look at the songs on the labels, and you too will take a stroll down memory lane.  I guarantee you that you will be blown away by the versatility that Johnny and Little Joe demonstrate on this LP, and the extremely talented musicians are at their very best as well.  This was to be the last "all English" LP that Little Joe and The Latinaires would record, and for that reason alone, this highly collectible LP belongs in a prestigious Vinyl Records Collection.

The LP jacket receives a grade of NM-, as the colors and graphics are as fresh and as vivid as if the jacket had been printed last week...there is absolutely zero ring wear, which is unheard of for a jacket this old.  Had it not been for the rub marks on the corners, I would have given the jacket a grade of NM.  My MINT copy is proudly displayed in a frame and on my wall, and you could easily do the same thing with this beautiful LP jacket.  The labels receive a grade of MINT!  The vinyl receives a grade of VG++, as there are a few rub marks and even fewer minor superficial scratches.  The sound receives a grade of VG++, as there is a bit of background noise at the intro and the fade of a few of the songs, but the guys' voices and the instruments are crystal clear, and the sound is full.  The images pretty much tell it all, folks, and it's obvious that the original owner of this sensational LP took extremely good care of it, as I have over the years.
