Details: - Very rare Original 1st UK Pressing, on the Bronze label of this Heavy Rock/Prog rarity with fold over `flap` Gimmix sleeve Matrix - ILPS 9220 A-3/ILPS 9220 B-2 Mother Stampers 2L/17.
Formed by Mark Clarke and Jon Hiseman after the demise of jazz-rockers Colosseum. Their original vocalist, Paul Williams, had previously played with Zoot Money, John Mayall and Juicy Lucy. This line-up recorded 'Jon Hiseman's Tempest' and toured mostly on the continent and opened for Rory Gallagher in the U.S. This album shows Hiseman moving away from the jazz-rock of Colosseum in favour of power rock.

Tempest was a British progressive rock band active from 1973 and 1974. Its core members were Jon Hiseman on drums and Mark Clarke on bass. Hiseman and Clarke had played in Colosseum together and formed Tempest in the beginning of 1973.They released two studio albums before breaking up. For the band's first, eponymous album (originally called John Hiseman's Tempest), the line up was completed by Allan Holdsworth on guitar and Paul Williams on vocals and keyboards. By the time a second album was recorded, 1974's Living In Fear, Tempest was down to a trio, consisting of Hiseman, Clarke, and Halsall; reportedly Holdsworth didn't want to play alongside a second guitarist.The band broke up soon after.
