** Rare early pressing on UK DERAM label of classic 1968 TEN YEARS AFTER LP - PSYCH PROG ROCK **
A Very Good- disc. A lot of light surface marks, light scratches, and faint hairline marks - mainly visible under a strong light, and mostly from where the record has been taken out of the sleeve over the years, but these cause very few audio issues. Original STEREO mixes of both sides. Some spindle marks. No skips, jumps, sticking, or warps. Names written on both labels (see photos).
Very good sound quality generally, with some minor surface noise in places. Judged purely on sound quality this would have been graded very near Excellent. It is a very listenable LP, and plays much better than it looks visually.Tested on a Thorens turntable.
The laminated Gatefold Sleeve is in Very Good condition. "Peep-hole" design (to detect Mono or Stereo versions for records like this one with the correct inner sleeve). Some general wear, particularly to corners (see photos), and a very small cosmetic scuff to rear lower sleeve. No writing anywhere. No seam splits. Some light creasing in places. Some wear to spine corners, but all text still clearly legible.
Supplied in original company Inner Sleeve (stereo - blue), which is in Good condition, with polythene insert.
GRADING:
All records are graded using the 'Record Collector' format:
MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
