Description
Belzona Records L-1002, this is an original US pressing - NOT a reissue - of the rare blues compilation LP "10 Years In Memphis: 1927-1937". Belzona would later change it's name to Yazoo Records after it's 6th release, so this is the rare first pressing of this 14 song LP featuring tracks from George Tory, Gus Cannon, Allen Shaw, Robert Wilkins, Big Boy Cleveland, Furry Lewis, Frank Stokes, Tom Dickson, and Kansas Joe. Jacket is NM-/EX, showing some minor handling. LP grades EX/VG++ showing some minor paper/surface marks, the most noticable at the beginning of side 2 which cause some faint crackle at times. Playback is otherwise solid throughout (again, there is some minor crackle at times which can partially be attributed to the source material), while labels on either sides are crisp with no spindle wear.
