Description
Love Is Dead, Mr. T Experience / MTX, test pressing, with Lookout records "flat"LK 134 1996
So, I'm Dr. Frank and this is one of my band's albums. When Lookout Records went out of business a ways back I was left with the remaining inventory of my "product" and since then every so often I've pulled a few boxes out of storage and done a little two-day vinyl (etc.) sale with my facebook page and blog as the store front.
This time around, I have discovered that the supply of LPs of the most popular release in the catalog, 1996's Love Is Dead, has finally run out. As in, there are no more left in my stock; if anyone else happens to have any, they still have them obviously, but as for the old Lookout stock it is gone gone gone.
I wish I had more, but since selling 100% of the stock is a kind of milestone, I've decided to commemorate it by putting up this test pressing as an adjunct to the usual sale, so that anyone who absolutely must have it on vinyl has one last chance to get it from me.
This is one of four test pressings that would have been made. There may have been others for a re-press or two over the years, but this is guaranteed one of the original four. It is near mint, probably only played once or twice. So I guess it's pretty rare (and it'd be even rarer if you manage to track down the other three and destroy them -- a common record collecting practice, if you didn't know.) I'm including an old promo "flat" of the cover and one of the promotional post cards Lookout made for the release.
I will sign any of this stuff with any inscription you'd care to have, or none of it as you like. Starting bidding at $20, as that's what I've been selling LPs for.
And if you want to see what other stuff (records, CDs, shirts) I've got you can check it out on my blog.
But it goes quickly -- usually it is mostly gone after a couple of days -- so act now.
Paypal only. Shipping free in the US. International buyers contact me before bidding and we'll work something out. This record is guaranteed to be as described and satisfactory to the buyer. Buyer pays all shipping on returns, though, sorry.
Thanks everybody.
