TESTED LP: KT Tunstall - Invisible Empire // Crescent Moon - 2013 Release - Virgin Records UK - Disc Made In Germany
Comments: IMPORTANT INFORMATION. PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASE. I bought this record brand new in 2013. When I took the record out of the inner sleeve for the first time, I noticed some light surface scratches on Side A. A couple of the surface scratches were in the form of little circular squiggly patches. I'm nearly certain that these squiggle patches were caused by some tiny debris specs that were inside of the sleeve and were grinding the record surface as it moved around slightly during handling and shipment. I wiped the record off and placed it in a quality poly inner sleeve for safer storage. The record never went back into the original inner sleeve. I don't recommend ever putting the record back in that original inner. The good news is that the record still sounds really good and that the surface scratches aren't that awfully noisy.
This record was fully play-tested before being offered for sale. What is being offered here is a hard to find record with a beautiful Near Mint cover, Near Mint inner sleeve and a record that sounds really good but isn't quite perfect. The record hasn't been played very many times. I recorded it to CD when new for my day to day listening.
Visual Record Condition: I graded the vinyl by side. Side A looks VG+ for the most part with some light surface scuffs and light surface scratches. Because of the couple of more noticeable little squiggly surface scratch patches described above, I gave Side A a final grade of VG. The squiggle patches are between the 12 and 2 o'clock positions in the neighborhood of track 5. Side B also has some light surface scuffs. I gave Side B a VG+ grade. Both sides are glossy and mostly good looking. Lighter scuffs do not show up well in the photos due to the glossiness of the record surfaces.
Record Labels Condition: The labels look beautiful with no wear to speak of. The text is easy to read and the graphics look great. There is no writing or stickers on the labels.
Play Test Notes: I played this record from start to finish before offering it for sale. General background record surface noise is negligible and the sound quality of the music is superb. On Side A, from about midway through Track 4 to about midway through Tack 6, light ticks are heard often, but not constantly. The ticks do not interfere with enjoyment of the songs. You'll notice, but won't be startled. Those surface scratches are not as bad on the ears as they are on the eyes. The tunes on this record are simply amazing are very easy to enjoy. There were no skips or sticks, of course.
Jacket Type and Condition: The gatefold jacket looks near mint with no wear worth mentioning. The corners are sharp and there are no seam splits. The text on the spine looks fine. Please examine the photos closely for a fuller understanding of condition. The jacket has always been housed in a protective clear outer poly sleeve to help prevent wear.
Inner Sleeve Type and Condition: The evil printed light cardstock paper lyric sheet inner sleeve is in near mint condition. There are no seam splits. The original inner sleeve is suspected of harboring debris specs that caused light surface damage to the record during its early life. The record is currently housed in a quality poly sleeve and is stored outside of the album cover, inside the outer poly sleeve, for safety in storage and shipping.
Inserts: A 4-inch x 4-inch MP3 Download Card was included with the record. The download code is intentionally blurred in the photo. I can't promise that the download code is still any good though. I may have redeemed it. Don't remember. There is also a good chance that a download code from 2013 has expired by now. Either way, don't count on the download code being any good. Assume it is for decorative purposes only. That little download card with album art on it is pretty cool looking if nothing else. I actually just tried going to the web page shown on the download card. It just took me to the KT Tunstall home page and I didn't see any obvious way to redeem. Feel free to draw your own conclusion. The shrink wrap sticker that says the record was made in Germany was also saved and is included.
Shipping Notes: I've been selling records by mail since 1992. I know a thing or two about packing records safely for shipping, using appropriate, professional grade packing materials. The shipping charge you are asked to pay covers some of the costs I incur for postage and quality packing materials. This record will be packed well for secure shipping. By default the package will travel by the potentially slower USPS Media Mail rate. For speedier delivery, options to use USPS Ground Advantage or USPS Priority Mail shipping are provided at check-out. I generally pack and ship items sold right away and hand them over to the post office at the earliest opportunity (sometimes same day, sometimes next day).
Please see the photos to check out the condition for yourself. Zoom right in and have a good look.

For items to be delivered outside of the USA, buyers should be aware that any customs fees / taxes that are required by your government are your responsibility and are not covered by the cost of the item or the shipping charges.
S h i p m e n t S a f e t y
I promise to pack your item securely, no matter what it is. Everything I ship gets packed well, so don't worry about a thing.
If appropriate I will add insurance coverage. Sometimes I will add signature tracking (USA) when your item is shipped. Signature tracking ensures that the postal service doesn't leave your valuable item unattended on your doorstep out in the sun or rain - it has to be handed over face to face. If you order something rare and/or worth a bit, be prepared to have to accept delivery in person.

When multiple items are shipped together, I can almost always give you a better deal on the shipping cost compared to the individual shipping costs. I promise to give you the best rate possible based on the items purchased and the shipping method required.
For "Buy It Now" items (most of what I offer), simply add each item that you want to your shopping cart. When ready to commit to buying, request a total from me from your cart and I'll send an invoice as soon as I can. Since I'm not a computer and I do other things like sleep and take the dogs for walks, you might not receive an immediate response, but I will get back to you as soon as possible. If you decide to pay for items you want individually instead of requesting a total from the shopping cart, I will promptly send back whatever money I can for a shipping discount.
- Some items are not compatible for combined shipping.
- Combining shipping might require changing the shipping method or increase packaging materials expense.
- A few items that I offer are not eligible for combined shipping.
- Of course it is ok to ask about combined shipping costs up front. You have to tell me exactly what you intend to buy and where it will be shipped. I can't always give an exact cost, but I can at least give you an estimate.
- I reserve the right to limit the number or total value of items that I'm willing to send in a single package.
- For international sales I use ebay's international shipping program. Combined shipping depends on the ebay shipping program rules in place at the time of shipment. It is possible that no combined shipping discount is available for international orders.
