Description

This is the very Rare ~ THAD JONES ~ THE MAGNIFICENT LP on BLUE NOTE RECORDS BLP-1546 MONO. It is a rare original pressing. RVG inscribed in dead wax. Earmark in dead wax. 9M inscribed in dead wax. Note: No "R" on the Label or "Inc" on rear jacket which are on later pressings other than first pressings. The bottom rear jacket ends with "Blue Note Records, 47 West 63rd St., New York 23.

• VINYL ~ Original Deep Groove Blue Note labels are very nice with some very light spindle marks. Vinyl is VG. With some light surface marks, some light hairlines & a few surface scuffs. There are a couple very small scratches that are small than eye lashes that may cause a quick tick. If it weren't for those this LP would easily be VG+. It's still very clean & shiny. A couple of the surface scuffs may cause some minimal background noise in a few small spots.

• JACKET ~ jacket is VG. The rear looks superb. The front has minimal shelf wear. The spine & bottom seam have some very light wear as pictured. Top seam has some light wear and a 4" split on the top middle as pictured. Light corner scuffs. If it weren't for the wear in the seams this jacket would easily be VG+.
