THIS IS AN ORIGINAL 1967 COPY NOT A BOOTLEG OR A REPRODUCTION!
Here’s the final UK single from the much revered Action, always been seen as a classic of its age – produced by George Martin too, on leave from working on The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper I would imagine as this 45 was released in the same month. This is a tremendous copy, looking and sounding near perfect.
The sleeve is the wavy-top Parlophone ‘Fran The Fan’ variant – possibly original, although maybe a little early for the Summer of ’67. Anyroads, it’s in EX (Excellent) condition without splits.
The classic black Parlophone stock labels are just fine. ‘KT’ tax code embossed to the B-side with ‘Sold in the UK’ text in the centre. NO writing, sticker pulls or residue. Only ONE spindle trail to the B only (nothing on the A). Tremendously preserved and exactly how you’d hope to find them after 46 years. Brilliant!
The vinyl looks the part and is totally unmarked on the A with just ONE faint hairline to the B. So that’s M- (Mint Minus) on the plug side and just a shade under at EX+ (Excellent Plus) on the B. NO scratches or scuffs. IT HAS BEEN CAREFULLY LISTENED TO and plays delightfully. A touch of surface can be heard on the run-ins but that’s it – NO snap, clicks, ticks, pops, hiss or distortion. A true keeper which should satisfy most top grade collectors.
