Description
This is a beautiful 2 LP set of The Allman Brothers Band titled "The Road Goes On Forever" on the Capricorn Records label catalog number 2CP-0164, a first pressing released in 1975.
This 2 record set should not be considered a typical greatest hits package. To quote from the liner notes: “The tracks assembled are representative of a fan’s-eye view of what The Allman Brothers Band’s music is all about. Each song of this collection was selected not on the basis of sales, but on its appeal to all the people who have seen The Allman Brothers Band perform over the years.” And if you are a new fan of this band, this is the perfect recording to start with.
All records that I have for sale are from my personal collection and were played exclusively on a high end turntable. This set was play tested before listing to guarantee an accurate description of the quality.
Both records are very clean and play great with only typical stylus on vinyl sounds. The record labels are in perfect condition (see pictures).
The outer gate-fold jacket is in excellent condition, solid all around. The original Capricorn records printed inner sleeves are in excellent condition.
I will pack the records outside of the jacket to protect jacket integrity and ship in a sturdy LP mailer with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap for further protection.
Shipping to the USA will be via USPS Media Mail.
