Description
The Amazement Company -- "Dead Cows & U.F.O.'s" b/w "Miss Crash Head" 7"
Original 1980 US release on Dinosaur Records (Madison WI) (catalog # OM-45R-801), in Picture Sleeve.Pretty amazing obscure DIY post-punk pseudo-no-wave single from the Madison, Wisconsin, art-school punk scene, 1980. "Miss Crash Head" takes a lullaby played on toy instruments and explodes it into an abrasive, jarring 'n jagged atonal no-wavish raveup (a la Mars, DNA or even more closely Arkansaw Man) simulating a manic drug-trip head-crash, topped with soaring female vox from Cele Wolf, reminiscent of Marion from Dog Faced Hermans.
This song is comped on Hyped2Death's very worthwhile Homework 104: “D.I.Y.”/punkwave/artwave/no wave, A&B: '78-83... as such there are probably mp3s floating around.
CONDITION: Sleeve VG+ / Vinyl VG++ sleeve has light general wear, vinyl is excellent. Graded conservatively using Goldmine standards [G / G+ / VG / VG+ / NM / ]grade only used if record is brand new.
Bid with confidence -- over 11000 positive feedbacks selling vinyl on eBay since 1998, with a total 11-year average of 100% positive.
