Description

THE APPLE - Doctor Rock b/w The Other Side (GER., Hansa 14282 AT, 1968)

A beautiful copy of a legendary single! Long held up as a classic example of UK late 60s psych, The Apple's 2 singles and album for Page One Records are unique in their field, sounding nothing like any other group! Combining strong piano with biting fuzz guitar and strident vocals, coupled with Caleb Quaye's excellent production, this is a 2-sider to contend with! On the topside, the dance friendly uptempo mover Doctor Rock (he's a rockin' Doc!), and on the flip, the haunting melancholy of The Other Side! Great mono mixes too! This is the SUPER RARE German edition in a great art sleeve!

This is in superb condition, coming out for sleeve and record at a solid EX+! The thin sleeve has an absolute minimum of ring wear front and back, plus a very small faded area top left, which may be the result of sticker removal. Absolutely no rips, tears, creasing, writing - it's a joy to behold!! Likewise for the vinyl, after nearly 38 years, there's barely a mark on it! Beautifully glossy and clean, plays M!! No reserve, and a reasonable starting bid considering the rarity of the item!

Postage will be £1 (UK), £2 (Europe) and £4 (rest of world). Good luck; see my other auctions and ebay shop for more goodies!
