Description

Fine trio of 45rpm quality recordings by Philips, featuring the wonderful soprano Lotte Lenya with the Orchestra conducted by Roger Bean:

Originally intended as a sole recording, the first (ABE 10118) includes Moritat and Barbara-Song from The Threepenny Opera as well as Alabama-Song & Bilbao-Song.

Following the highly popular reception of this, Philips went ahead with Volumes 2 and 3 (ABE 10235 and 10236) producing extracts from Der Silbersee – Happy End –Mahogonny….

The three records are in very good and well cared for condition.  Covers show slight signs of age shadow after almost 60 years protecting their delightful musical contents.

Atmospheric songs by a wonderfully talented singer.   Offered at a low starting price with  NO  RESERVE!!!
