THE ASTRONAUTS - ONLY FOOLS AND OPTIMISTS (12-TRACK CASSETTE) ANARRES (SELF-RELEASED) - ASC 001 - UK 1980s ORIGINAL CASSETTE WITH ORIGINAL BLUE CARD INLAY Genuine original and hard to find obscure cassette only release by the great indie punk band the Astronauts fronted by Mark Wilkins (or Mark Astronaut) - see their amazing first 7"s from 1979 and 1980 and classic debut LP 'Peter Pan Hits The Suburbs' on small independent Bugle Records label. This cassette carries no date but it's from the mid to late '80s as one of the tracks is "influenced by the riots of summer 1983" - certainly and original as it comes from a Mark Wilkins related source and it's really really rare. Includes older and newer songs plus 2 bonus tracks "featuring the superb soprano saxophone playing of Lol Coxhill". A great original punk & new wave item from the '80s independent cassette scene in UK - 100% genuine and in very nice condition. CONDITION (I don't use higher than ex/ex) cover: vg+ cassette: vg+ * no problems, just wouldn't use higher than vg+ for these old DIY and poor-quality cassettes, always with minor defects depending on the quality of the equipment too (play-tested with no problems on mine which is average quality).
