Description

This LP is a mystery even to the top dudes who put out the 'Archivist' collector's 'bible' of Xian rock & folk LPs...no wonder as there is no info as to where it's from, only first names of the band & not even any song titles on the label!! BUT it is a winner...so I quote from Archivist: "...the whole project has an air of mystery about it. Good homemade electric sound coupled with artsy intentions. Attractive use of harp throughout along with some noteworthy lead guitar. They sample plugged-in folkrock, melodic light rock, simple acoustic tunes with harmonica or flute, even some hardrock and psychedelic moves, including some dreamy echoed vocal effects and crude bursts of fuzz guitar (the latter occurs as Jesus confronts the Pharisees)...a very cohesive and satisfying work." 8 member band half guys & half girls, also a cool cover look. LP is titled "God Come Down" on the private Christos label # CS-1001 and Archivist guesses the year at 1974. Ex/VG++ condition with small name sticker on cover. Doubt I'll ever run into another of this one...
