Beautiful original first pressing of the Band's "Brown Album", on 1969 green label Capitol LP STAO-132. RL in the runoff, indicating the highly prized Robert Ludwig mastering, which sounds just incredible. And this copy sure does it justice. The disc is just lovey, with just a barely visible sleeve scuff or two, maybe... but it plays mostly flawlessly and gorgeously. There is a touch of extremely light crackle between some songs, and there is a very light tick at the beginning of side two for about 30 seconds, and another at the beginning of the second track, but both are light and brief, and do not ruin the listen. The mastering really does seem to be brighter and more present than on the other pressings, and the experts say this is the best possible way to hear it - on an original Ludwig pressing. The textured cover has only very light wear, especially at the lower left edge (see photo) but is unusually clean and crisp. A very nice original Ludwig copy.
