Lovely copy of the original 1970 pressing of The Band’s Stage Fright LP on Capitol SW-425. Original green labels, textured cover, and poster insert. Robert Ludwig’s initials in the runoffs, generally considered to be the best sounding mastering. The disc is just beautiful and plays flawlessly and just beautifully. There are a couple of light superficial marks but they are entirely superficial and don’t affect the play at all. There are a few of those light spots that sometimes come from the acid in the paper sleeve, but they are also entirely superficial and are not damage or wear of any sort. Really this copy plays just gorgeously. The cover has a 4” seam split at the top (see photo) and some slight further slight edge and corner wear at the bottom, but it is on the whole quite strikingly clean and crisp. The poster has some wear at the edges and corners, and has little pin holes at the top two corners from being hung on a wall. Still nicely intact and lovely. And rare. Really overall this is a wonderful original copy and it sounds perfect.
