Description

This is an original pressing on Chess Records, Cat# LPS-1516 (Stereo) The condition of both the cover and the vinyl are both (EX+) the cover has a 'slight split' near the top of the 'spine' (or left seam,) and can be easily repaired, the corners show a bit of wear, and the front cover art has a 'scratch' near the bottom right corner (see pix) the vinyl is extemely clean, with a few 'surface paper scuffs' the fidelity is excellent and plays without 'surface noise' etc...there is a very low 'woosh' for one revolution at the start of Side two before the intro which is 'spoken word' with sound effects! A very cool piece that was recorded in 1967 at Tel-Mar studios,Chicago. Band members are;Dean Nimmer-drums/Rick Bien-bass/Jay Borkenhagen-guitar,piano,harpsichord,lead vocals and Jacques Hutchinson-guitar and vocals. Tunes are;Side 1" Iowa, A Girls Name"/"Seasons"/"Mary Jane"/"Rose Colored Glasses"/"Musical Tribute To The Oscar Meyer Wiener Wagon" and "Sunlight"/ Side 2 "This Song Needs No Introduction" /"Theres Nothing Left To Do But Cry"/"Bicycle"/"Purple Day" and "Boop"/"Love In A Circle" Good Luck,God Bless & Peace! Please keep an eye out for the start of our Northern Soul/Funk and R&B 45-rpm auction of a few thousand different titles coming soon on E-Bay only! Thanks hope to see you then!
