THE BAYTOVENS Waiting For You BELFAST '66 Bay Area Orig. Garage Psych PS 45 HEAR Shipping Info Description

b/w Such A Fool

Belfast 67-1001. Incredibly hard to find Bay Area psych single. 'Waiting For You' featured on the CD 'You Got Yours! East Bay Garage 1965-1967' on Big Beat records.

"One of the very best groups from the East Bay scene, The Baytovens’ Beatles-like blend of pop and rock resulted in the official release of unfortunately one lone single, the jangly and classic “Waiting For You” b/w “Such A Fool” (Belfast 67-1001).The core of the band was together for a short 18-month span yet still managed to make the most of their time together, resulting in a legacy that firmly places them among the best groups (from a pool of hundreds) that the ‘60’s Bay Area scene had to offer." (Excerpt from Bruce Tahsler's Book: The San Francisco East Bay Scene:Garage Bands Of The 60's Then and Now)

Record: A side: (Waiting For You) is VG++ (plays great. see 1st sound clip). B side: (Such A Fool) is good/poor w/a bit of what appears to be tape residue on the first third of that side. Ticks for about a minute and half. see 2nd sound clip)

Picture Sleeve: Excellent (some light corner creases. no splits. Nice)

Sound clips are from actual record with no alteration to sound.
