Description
This is an uncommon promo single by The Beach Boys: "Child of Winter Christmas Song" b/w "Susie Cincinnati." Released on the Reprise label (RPS 1321). Released in 1974. Song written by Brian Wilson and Steve Kalinich. Produced by Brian Wilson. This was a rush single, and it different even reach a lot of markets until after December 25. No wonder it didn't do well in the charts.
This is the rarer stock copy version (most copies are mono/stereo). Even cooler is that this is the hard to find Reprise label with the "Steamboat" logo (most stock copies are the Brother/Reprise label). Slightly different title than seen on promo copies, which list the song as "Child of Winter (Christmas Song)." This Reprise label version omits the parentheses. Extremely hard to find, especially in this condition.
Record is in EX condition. The B side label has what looks to be bubbling, which has created some minor wear. On close inspection, this is clearly not sticker residue damage. This kind of bubbling is common with this label. Vinyl is really nice, with high gloss. There is a light mark that appears on both sides of the vinyl. I looked very closely, and I don't think this is a fine hairline crack.
