Description

Up for grabs an original THE BEATLES "1962-1966" 12" vinyl double LP compilation album, 1986 local press on Apple/EMI Greece (14C162-05307/8) original green apple label, gatefold cardboard cover with Apple logo top centre backside and bottom left corner inside gatefold, red cardboard lyrics printed inners (black text on red, corner codes MT1489/MT1502) identifiers, made in Greece, condition cover/inners: Near Mint (name stamp on inside gatefold), vinyl/labels: pristine Mint (actual pics shown, zoom over).

All tracks by Lennon/McCartney. Originally released 1973 post-breakup compiles the Beatlemania period of the group described as a "breathe of fresh air" amidst the ruins of post-war reconstruction, the period of innocence and coming of age just before the leap to studio avantgarde, the inside gatefold picture among ordinary people transcends all eras, both the EMI London HQ where the group is pictured and the EMI-Greece press factory now demolished, historical artefact, ultra-limited local press.
