Description

THIS SALE IS FOR "THE BEATLES 1966" LP CALLED "REVOLVER".THIS TRULY IS A RARE COPY (POSSIBLY A ONE OFF) BECAUSE IT HAS 4 DIFFERENT MISPRESSINGS.   1)EACH SIDE HAS A DIFFERENT LABEL 2)SIDE 1 HAS A STAMPER CODE ERROR 3)SIDE 2 HAS A CATALOGUE NUMBER MISPRINT 4)SIDE 2 HAS A TAX CODE MISPRINT   MORE OF THESE MISPRINTS LATER IN MORE DETAIL.   THIS IS A U.K. PRESSING WITH "THE GRAMOPHONE CO LTD" EDGE TEXT,"SOLD IN THE U.K." AND "P 1966".   The vinyl is in excellent condition although there are some light hairlines, although these do not affect the sound quality. The sound quality is excellent although there is a little crackle in the quieter of passages. There are NO sticks NO jumps and NO repeats. The thick quality vinyl still retains all of it's deep shine and lustre and that just pressed look. The labels are both still clean and bright with some spindle wear and spider marks, most of which are in the centre circle. The matrix codes are XEX 605-2 and XEX 606-3.The GARROD & LOFTHOUSE sleeve is in excellent condition with the laminated front showing some light short hairlines mainly along the edges. The front has some very light disc impression but can only be seen when help up to the light. The back of the sleeve is excellent with some light ringwear. The front and back are clean and bright with no writing of any kind. The laminated flip-backs are all intact and very clean. The spine is in excellent condition and fully readable. The top and bottom edges have no wear and the corners are still square and true, although there is a little light rubbing to them. The opening edge is straight and true with no feathering. The side 2 matrix code is 4 MR.   NOW FOR THE ERROR'S ON THIS (POSSIBLY UNIQUE) REVOLVER LP. As you can see from the pic's side 1 & side 2 have a differently printed label.   Side 1 has a matrix code of 6 GDA,above the A is another A which has been overstamped with an X.   The side 2 has a catalogue misprint with the PMC 7009 being of the large variety of letters and numbers. They touch the label centre circle. These type of large letters were last used on the 1964 a hard days night lp.   The side 2 label has an MT tax code, these were only used from 1 january 1963 - 30 june 1963 on the GOLD & BLACK PLEASE PLEASE ME LP.   I HAVE NEVER SEEN A "REVOLVER" WITH THIS MANY MISPRINTS.THE LARGE "PMC 7009" VARIETY OF NUMBERS & LETTERS ARE 2 YEARS TOO LATE & THE MT TAX CODE IS 3 YEARS TOO LATE.    THIS IS A MUST FOR ANY SERIOUS BEATLES COLLECTOR WHO WANTS TO COMPLETE THEIR COLLECTION WITH A SERIOUSLY RARE AND (POSSIBLY UNIQUE) LP.THIS IS THE ONLY YELLOW/BLACK LABEL REVOLVER I HAVE EVER SEEN WITH AS MANY MISPRINTS.   IT IS VERY HARD TO FIND AN EXCELLENT CONDITIONED EXAMPLE OF A  606-1 REVOLVER BUT THIS MISPRINT IS PROBABLY THE ONLY ONE EVER PRESSED.DO NOT MISS THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE TO GET THIS POSSIBLY UNIQUE "BEATLES REVOLVER".   I GUARANTEE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS LP.Please note that i have tried to take detailed pictures. The quality of this item is better than shown.I will email anyone bigger, better pics on request.   I aim to give my buyers the best possible service and will refund if you are not satisfied with your purchase as decribed by me.I do not over grade my items (it is not in my interest to)and use strict record collector grades. The item must be returned in the same condition as sent.Any questions please ask.£3 UK £4 EUROPE £6 WORLD.Get discounts on multiple items.I take postal orders, cash, cheques, paypal in the UK,all others paypal. Please look at my other auctions. Thanks for looking and good luck.
